The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED)
On Feb 5th, 2018, the representative of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) participated in an event of AFV. AFV is a charity organization established by a group of Vietnamese immigrants of France that has been supporting children with difficult living situations. At present, the group is focusing on activities for supporting hearing aids to hearing loss children of poor families living in HCM city and some nearby districts. AFV and CED will cooperate to support children in this field.
On Feb 6th, 2018, the representative of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) welcome a research group accomplishing the Project of Comprehensive Sign Literacy (CSL). CED currently has been participating in this research project.
On the same day, the representative of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) worked with BIT CED Group about coordination planning to execute a Marketing program for CED in 2018.
On Feb 21st, 2018 Ms Duong Phuong Hanh - CED Director visited and worked with the Board of the Dong Thap Special School for the Deaf about coordination plans to support hearing aids for children who has been studying at the mainstream schools in the province.
On Feb 23rd, 2018 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) donated 3 hearing aids to students of the Can Tho Special School for the Deaf.
On Feb 28th, 2018 the representative of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) had a meeting with the representative of the Tomato Center for Skill Education for pre-school and primary-school children. It’s known that Tomato has been offering a training program to children for ear care protection as well as have been planning a coordination with CED.
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) had 28 cases of peer counseling/consultancy related with hearing loss (education, employment, hearing aids, skill learning, etc…)./.
