The Center For Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED)

On May 06th 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) established CED Sign Language Club. This club will combine the activities of Deaf Club of Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday morning at Ly Nhon Primary School, Lot I, Vinh Hoi Village, Ben Van Don, Ward 6, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. HCM.

On May 8-9th , 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) supported a student who studying in Public Health to undertake a research on "Knowledge and Needs for Ear Care  for residents living in Phu Nhuan district”.

 

On May 12th , 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) opened Lip Reading Course. Participants included a variety of professions: specialized education teachers, physicians, psychologists, social workers, office workers, members of disability groups, university students . Participants are admitted certificates upon completion of the program.

On May 17th 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) welcomed students from University of Hong Kong to visit and learn about the educational model of CED.

Every Friday morning, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) usually has curricular activities for students to develop social communication skills for our children.

In addition, CED was also involved in: (1) seeking sign language interpreting for OpenM's Anti-Sexual Abuse training program for Anh Minh Hearing Impairment School; (2) support to recruit waiters/ waitresses with hearing loss (deaf) for restaurant/food store.

 

Consultancy/Peer counseling:

In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 41 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field (education, job, hearing aid, skill learning, sign language, lip reading, etc…)
