DRAWING SESSION – CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS

On December 22, 2022, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meaningful drawing lesson for students with hearing loss.

The theme of today's preparatory class was: Celebrating Christmas. This was a familiar image during Christmas in most Christian countries.

Initially, the teacher drew each line on the board for the students to follow. Any pictures or lines that were difficult, she actively slowed down so that the students could keep up, or in cases the lines were too difficult for students with poor observation ability, she would directly dot each small stroke for them to paint along. Or she would draw the lines larger so they could be easier to see.

Once completed, the painting recreated the scene where Santa Claus was delivering gifts to children on Christmas. Happy smiles were evident on the children's faces, expressing their joy because this festival only takes place once a year. And the most special thing given by Santa Claus himself is a blessing in God's divine love.
