DRAWING SESSION – THE CAVE

On December 15, 2022, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meaningful drawing lesson for students with hearing loss.

The topic of the preparatory class was: The Cave. This was a familiar image during Christmas that was decorated along the streets of Vietnam.

Initially, teacher drew each line on the board for the students to follow. With any pictures or lines that were difficult, she actively slowed down so that the children could keep up. If the lines were too difficult for students with poor observation ability, she would directly dot each small stroke for them to see and follow. Or she would draw the lines larger so they could see it easier.

After completing, teacher guided the students to cut and paste to create a beautiful 3D cave image.

Particularly for the students of the STEM class, their theme was the image of Christmas Day. This was also a topic that stimulated the creative thinking of students. Some students drew a family of snowmen decorating a pine tree, some students drew a family of snow bears with a pine tree, some students only drew a decorated pine tree that looked very eye-catching.
