SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION – LEARNING GROUP 2nd MEETING

 

On August 21, 2021, CED organized the second meeting in the series of 6 follow-up meetings after the “Sign Language Interpreter Training” course, in order to continue supporting participants in knowledge exchange, skill practicing and experience sharing. At this meeting in August, there were 22 participants from the last training in June, who are teachers in special schools, parents and students from Hanoi, Dong Nai, Nha Trang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, HCMC…

 

At the first part of the meeting, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED, answered questions of participants. At the second part of the meeting, some participants shared their experiences in helping people with hearing loss from the last month and then learned sign language and practiced together through analysing two video clips and one song, which was facilitated by Ms Tran Phuong Nhung, an expert in sign language interpreting.

 

This is the activity in the framework of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
