TRAINING ON SKILLS FOR ASSISTING PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS IN HOSPITALS – CLASS 8

On October 23-24, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of CED - trained 32 participants who are medical, social work students and medical staff in HCMC, Ca Mau, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Thai Lan on “Skills for supporting people with hearing loss (Deaf and Hard of Hearing / DHoH) in hospitals”.

Participants were introduced about basic ways to communicate with DHoH by sign language and speechreading. The training will be continued next weekend about skills in communication and assisting people with hearing loss in hospitals.

This is eighth training of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
