The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED)
On April 7th, 2018 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) organized the course of “Lip Reading Skill”. The course had 8 trainees who are teachers from An Giang Special School for the Deaf, Thanh Tam School for the Deaf in Can Gio, teachers of special education, social workers, students of Psychology Faculty, office staffs. There were also 8 students with hearing loss of CED and Thanh Tam School for the Deaf. The course of Lip Reading Skill is organized at CED Center.

On April 11th, 2018 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) received and guided a group of 11 grade students of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School to make a reporting about children with disabilities. In addition the group had organized a game with attractive prizes for participants.

On April 16th, 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) supported a project officer to collect information on Discrimination Situation to Children with disabilities from MSD Organization conducting interviews to CED students.
On April 18th,2018 Ms Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) met up and discussed with Ms Marianne Schulze, a UNICEF expert in an effort to contribute the voice from reality of activities for gaps or disadvantages on policies and law, especially in relation to deployment of Act of Disabled of 2009. Researching to promote this policy is coordinated for implementation by UNICEF Vietnam and National Committee on Disability in order to evaluate present situation and come up with recommendations of amendment, addition and completion to this law in coming time.

On April 19th, 2018 Ms Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) was invited to attend an interview for research of advantage environment that facilitate social organizations to participate in executing 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
On April 22nd, 2018 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) coordinated with SYNOVA Company to organize the program “Hearing Loss People Festival”. The program has attracted more than 60 attendants from Ho Chi Minh City Club for the Deaf and students of CED Center; relatives, parents of young hearing loss people; members and representatives of SYNOVA Company; students of CED Sign Language Class of Course 58; as well as the Hearing people who are interested in hearing loss field. In the festival day, SYNOVA has donated 15 fellowships of VND 500,000 / each to CED students, 40 gift packs, 1 hearing aid valued 8.5 million VND to hearing loss children of poor family; donated 3 million VND to activity budget of CED. As known SYNOVA is a company specialized in software and information technology.

On April 2nd, 2018 CED donated 1 hearing aid to Nguyen Van Ty (YOB 2008) living in Dong Nai Province, April 19th, 2018 CED donated 1 hearing aid to Pham ThanhNhat Huy (YOB 2011) living in Binh Duong Province and on April 28th, 2018, CED donated 27 hearing aids to 15 hearing loss students who has been learning at mainstream schools in Dong Thap Province

Consultancy / Peer Counseling
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 56 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field (education, job, hearing aid, skill learning, sign language, lip reading, etc…)
