OLYMPIC FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY 2020
Continued with the Summer Olympic Tokyo 2020 is the The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games opened on August 24, 2021, from August 24 to September 5, 2021 in Japan.
The theme of Paralympic Tokyo 2020 is “We have wings with the message that everyone has “wings” to overcome troubles in life. With the participation of 4.517 athletes with disabilities from 160 countries and regions. This is the biggest sports festival for people with disability in number of athletes participating.
The Vietnam People with Disability's Sports Delegation is currently present at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, led by Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy General Director of the General Department of Physical Education and Sports. There are 07 athletes with disability participating in the competition, including:
- Weightlifting:
- Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan
- Le Van Cong
- Swimming:
- Vo Thanh Tung
- Trinh Thi Bich Nhu
- Do Thanh Hai
- Athletic:
- Cao Ngoc Hung
- Nguyen Thi Hai.
The Vietnamese athletes will compete from August 25 to September 2, 2021. You can follow their competitions on online newspapers, sport TV channels. Also remember to exercise regularly at home to stay healthy and win over the Covid pandemic!
