VIESIGN PROJECT – TEACHING SIGN LANGUAGE ON WEBSITE

 

On August 31, 2021, CED had a meeting with VieSign, a young and talented group working for the non-profit project ranked in top 5 of the SheCodes Hackathon 2021.

 

VieSign is an online sign language education project which aims at bringing sign language closer to everyone. VieSign is built with the function of identifying - translating Vietnamese sign language directly, easy to use for learning or communicating in sign language. In addition, the courses will be designed in the form of MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) to teach practical sign language for daily life. All functions will be free to use.

 

CED hopes that this promising and meaningful project will increase chances of social inclusion for people with hearing loss.
