TRAINING ON SKILLS FOR ASSISTING PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS IN HOSPITALS (Class 5-Session1&2)

 

On July 3-4, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of CED - trained 39 participants who are health care and medical staff, teachers in special education and students in HCMC, Hanoi, Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Nghe An, Hai Duong, Da Nang, Phu Yen, Dong Nai on “Skills for supporting people with hearing loss (Deaf and Hard of Hearing / DHoH) in hospitals”.

 

Participants were introduced about basic ways to communicate with DHoH by sign language and speechreading. The training will be continued next weekend with two more sessions about skills in communication and assisting people with hearing loss in hospitals.

 

This is fifth training of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
