TRAINING ON SKILLS FOR ASSISTING PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS IN HOSPITALS - (Class 6&7-Session 1&2)

 

On September 18-19, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of CED - trained 55 participants who are social workers, teachers in special education, parents of children with hearing loss, medical staff and students in HCMC, Hanoi, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Can Tho, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Vinh Long, Hai Phong, Dong Nai on “Skills for supporting people with hearing loss (Deaf and Hard of Hearing / DHoH) in hospitals”.

 

Participants were introduced about basic ways to communicate with DHoH by sign language and speechreading. The training will be continued next weekend about skills in communication and assisting people with hearing loss in hospitals.

 

This is sixth and seventh training of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
