Part 1: CED's activity news
On May 4 and 5, 2021, Ms. To Thi Bich Phuong – Vice Director of CED welcomed and sent the documents for hearing aid grants to children in poor families.
On May 5, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED had a meeting with students in International Trade Law, HCMC University of Law, discussing about people with hearing loss, helping having more information in order to organize legal communication related to people with hearing loss for student community in the university.

On May 8, 2021, CED announced about the recruitment for the training program “Sign Language in Medicine and Health Care.”

On May 8-9 and 22-23, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED trained the program “Skills for assisting people with hearing loss in hospitals” for 21 participants who were health care staff in hospitals in HCMC, Vung Tau.

On May 18, 2021, CED-Oxfam project team had a meeting with Ms. Kathleen Holcombe, an expert in sign language interpreting, preparing for the coming training.

On May 19, 2021, CED-Oxfam project had a meeting with Ms. Pham Nhat Nga and members of the Creative Solution Consultancy company – experts in scripting and communication video clip making.

On May 20, 2021, Ms. Dương Phương Hạnh – Director of CED instructed students and free actress doing the sign language for the song “Simple Lover”.

On May 21, 2021, CED’s technical team had a meeting on 4.0 technology for online training in the future.

On May 23, 2021, CED announced about school closure because of Covid pandemic.

On May 24, 2021, CED joined the survey “Employers' assessment of former graduates from the HCMC Open University” in 2021, organised by the Open University of HCMC.
On May 29-30, 2021, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED trained “Skills for assisting people with hearing loss in hospitals” for 31 participants who are health care staff and teacher in special education.
Part 2: “CED’s Hearing Aid Fund Report”:
In May 2021, CED’s Hearing Aids Fund grated 6 hearing aids for 3 children with hearing loss (3 females) who live in poor families.
- Cao Phi Yến: 2 hearing aids (Tây Ninh)
- Nguyễn Thị Kim Trinh: 2 hearing aids (Lâm Đồng)
- Ma Nhàn: 2 hearing aids (Lâm Đồng)

Part 3: Peer Consultation/Counseling:
In May, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) conducted 38 consultation/counseling cases on education, training, skills programs, hearing aids, jobs, consultation for parents who have dificulties in teaching children with hearing loss, sign language, etc…
