In education for students with disabilities in general and particularly students with hearing loss, curriculum development is aimed for:
- Being suitable for students with disabilities,
- Approaching educational program (in kindergarten, primary, secondary schools)
- Inclusive education; creating opprotunities for students with disabilities to integrate into community life, especially accessing inclusive education.
- Meeting reasonable expectations of parents and students.
“For effective teaching, teachers must know how to adjust, always adjust and adjust themselves in their own activities.” (Jacqueline S. Thousand and Dr. Richard Villar).
