LIPREADING

Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED was invited to teach a course on “LIPREADING SKILL DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS” for 19 students of the Bachelor program and 14 students of the Master program in Speech Therapy, HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Danang Medical University on March 8 and 11, 2021.

 

 

The content related to concept on lips reading, steps to conduct a lesson, influencing factors, lesson designing and practicing.

 

Students also discussed about difficulties of people with hearing loss and supporting services. Integrated into the program was some overview on DeafBlind: communication ways and supporting service.

 

“Lipreading” program is part of the subject “Audiology and Rehabilitation of Hearing Ability”, which is theoretically taught online in Zoom, combined with practicing at CED.
