THE CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION OF THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING (CED)

 

On April 2nd 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) consulted and combined with Children Fund Australia about donation hearing aid for a poor children with hearing loss in CED’s Hearing Aid Fund.

 

On April 4th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh- Director of CED had a meeting with the representative of  The Center for Rehabilitation and Education of Children with Disabilities to donate hearing aids for 8 poor children with hearing loss.  

 

On April 5th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) supported Barbara Costello Organization’s customer to comprehend a Life Insurance Contract.

 

On April 6th 2019, The Center For Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) opened a course of Lip-Reading for 13 participants  (teachers, social workers, education managers, parents, staff and persons caring about hearing loss…) who are relatives or working with people/children with hearing loss. The purpose of the course is to help the learners without hearing loss to understand the concept and signification of Lip-Reading, learn about the skills and method to develop lessons of Lip-Reading to their students/children/adults with hearing loss.

 

 

On April 9th 2019, the representative of Rionet Company contacted with The Center For Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) to plan visiting CED Center.

 

On April 10th 2019, the representative of National Hospital of Endocrinology to ask about Skills in Supporting People with Hearing loss Program.

 

On April 11th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) took part in a Communication Session “Go With D.Map” held by Disability Research And Capacity  Development (DRD). D.Map is a map application that aims to help people with disabilities to search for accessible infrastructures and make community to understand the troubles and demands of People with Disability on integrating into the community while infrastructures have not been good.

 

On April 12th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) took a suggestion from General Science Library of Ho Chi Minh City and Samsung Group to build a STEM class at S.hub Kids for CED students. STEM class is about teaching Robotics and Funny Science. It has been still planning.  

 

On April 12th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed 2 members of Cambolac to visit and discuss about cooperation.

 

On April 20th  & 21st  2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) cooperated with Hilton Hotel in Ha Noi to held sucessfully the Training Program “Developing Lip-reading skill for students with hearing loss in inclusive education” on April 20th and 21st 2019 at Hilton Hotel. There were (1)  36 teachers working from 13 schools for the Deaf, Hearing Loss Centers, Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education,…; (2) 32 parents and children with hearing loss living in Ha Noi and some Northern provinces.  

 

 

From 23rd to 26th of April 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh- Director of CED was invited to teach about “Education for Students with Hearing Loss by Lips Reading and Sign Language for 20 teachers of The Center for Vocational Training and Job Introduction for People with Disabilities (215 Vo Thi Sau) on the mornings from 23rd -26th of April 2019.

 

On April 23rd 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meeting with the teacher of the Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education in Ho Chi Minh City 108 Ly Chinh Thang to discuss about cooperation opportunity.

 

On April 24th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) greeted the guests of Deaf Auslan Club (Australia) to visit and talk with CED students.

 

 

On April 26th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) supported a student of Lua Viet Club to find a boarding school.

 

CED’s Hearing Aid Fund: donated 13 new hearing aids to total 12 children with hearing loss and disadvantaged condition in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Da Nang, students  with hearing loss at Nhan Ai Disability School in Ca Mau.

  4. Trương Huỳnh Tươi (Ca Mau): 1 hearing aid
  5. Nguyễn Hoàng Anh Phúc (Ca Mau): 1 hearing aid
  6. Võ Khánh Băng (Ca Mau): 1 hearing aid
  7. Nguyễn Thảo My (Ca Mau): 1 hearing aid

Consultancy/Peer counseling:

In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) conducted 65 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field: education, job, hearing aids, giving advice for parents of children with hearing loss, sign language, lip reading, etc…
