The Center For Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED)
On July 3rd 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) greeted representative of OpenM Group to learn about the needs of students with hearing loss at CED and discuss about training program “Sexual abuse prevention”. This program was performed successfully on July 25th 2018.

On July 9th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was invited by Asian Rainbow Foundation to share her experiences in supporting of inclusive education of children with hearing loss for 80 Experts, Leaders of Mainstream School in An Giang and Binh Thuan Provinces.

On July 11th 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) got agreement on provision training program “Skills in supporting for patients with hearing loss in hospital” with Tan Hung Hospital. As the plan, it is going to take place on September with lessons of Basic and Medical Sign Language, Lip Reading, Things to know about Deaf/ Hard of hearing, Communication and Supportive skills.
On July 20th 2018, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed a traveller, she is an Irish Sign Language Interpreter. She came to visit and learn about life, study and employment of people with hearing loss in Ho Chi Minh City and CED’s activities.

On July 27th and 28th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) performed the training course “Sign Language in Medical” for 30 participants who are technicians, nursing assistants, staff and 1 doctor working in Xuyen A General Hospital.

CED’s Hearing Aids Fund: donated 10 hearing aids for 7 poor children with hearing loss living District 9, Ho Chi Minh City; Dong Nai, Quang Nam, Hai Phong, Vung Tau, Daklak.
Consultancy/Peer counseling:
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 48 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field (education, job, hearing aid, skill learning, sign language, lip reading, etc…) Especially, CED introduced teacher for specialized school; work with Department of Training and Education in Ho Chi Minh City, Office of Training and Education in Thu Duc to stimulate a student with hearing loss to go to Mainstream School.
