The Center for Research And Education of Deaf And Hard Of Hearing (CED).
On November 1st 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED Center had a talk with the representative of Friends For Street Children (FFSC) to learn about each other and find collaboration opportunity.
On November 7th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED Center was invited to share about “Social Security Administration: Challenge and Solution” for 47 students studying in Social Work Class in Department of Sociology-Social Work-Southeast Asia under Open University of Ho Chi Minh City. The CED’s Community Support Service Model is closed (1): Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing from children to adult; (2) Donate hearing aids, provide specific education program and inclusive grogram; (3) Advocacy and implement of policy; (4) Support from people with hearing loss to normal hearing.
On November 8th 2018, the group of three students coming from Engineering Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education studying the subject “Solution for support riding motorbike of people with hearing loss in safety”, they came and saw Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED to learn about the disadvantages when people with hearing loss use vehicles and public transport; design questionaire survey and research product for safe riding.
On November 11th 2018, The Center for Research and Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) opened 61st Course of Basic Sign Language for 10 participants, most of them are students of Special Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogy University and officers.
On November 13th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED Center was invited the workshop “Non- Government Organization in Era 4.0” held by Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) combined with Information Technology Center – Vietnet Media (Vietnet- ICT) with Microsoft’s financial and technical support who implement the project “Changing digital for N.G.O” in Viet Nam. Thanks to this project, the N.G.O use application to •Open approaching to sponsors and volunteers •Help workers work well and creatively •Optimize management system and strengthen your mission •Send creation from community to office.
On November 14th 2018, all of CED staff and students took part in extracurricular activity “Your favourite book” in Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library. The program aims to help CED students enjoy reading as well as having the opportunity to experience activities outside of the classroom. The program is designed monthly and there is harvest after it
On November 16th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director was invited to join the workshop “Enhancing connect with children protection in and outside of school” held by Social Work for Children Center Ho Chi Minh City, Professional Social Work Club Ho Chi Minh City and For Right of Children Group Ho Chi Minh City under support of Save the Children Organization.
On November 18th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director shared her experiences in the talkshow “Comprehension of Special Education in 4.0 age” held by Faculty of Special Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.
On November 20th 2018, that was Viet Nam Teacher Day, there were many parents, ex-students and current students coming CED Center to greet. CED teachers welcomed, talked and had fun with the children.
On November 21st 2018, The Center for Research and Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) opened an Individual Sign Language Course for participant Nguyen Thi Diem Mi. Ms Duong Phuong Hanh is teacher of the course.
On November 23th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh- CED Director entered and shared about Education and Support Program for People/children with hearing loss in front of staff of Daewon Group and Hearing Aids Microtech.
On November 29th 2018, CED Center donated 8 hearing aids for 8 poor children with hearing loss studying at The Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education of Dak Nong.
On November 30th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh- CED Director welcomed Ms Janette Kelly – the representative of St Andrew’s Society Saigon visited and gave present to CED.
CED’s Hearing Aid Fund: donated 10 new hearing aids to total 9 children with hearing loss and disadvantaged condition: 8 in Dak Nong Province and 1 in Ha Tinh Province.

In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 54 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field: education, job, hearing aids, giving advice for parents of children with hearing loss, sign language, lip reading, etc…
