TRAINING PROGRAM: THE COURSE 77 OF SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION WITH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS (SESSION 2)

On March 15, 2026, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) trained Sign Language – Basic Level for 34 participants, consisting of 14 professionals working in fields such as Education, Healthcare, Social Work, Art, Media, along with 20 students.

Sign language is one of two themes in the training program on Skills for Communication with People with Hearing Loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened). The second theme is lipsreading.

In the second session, participants were equipped with practical knowledge including natural numbers, personal pronouns, basic conversational questions, and practiced signing through the song Practice Counting”. Practicing in turns directly with the teacher not only helped participants refine precise hand movements but also sparked lively interactions. The participants' proactive engagement and serious learning attitude, combined with the teacher's valuable real-world experience, transformed the classroom into an open sharing space where everyone stayed highly focused on mastering natural signing skills and clearly.
