Viet Nam - Japanese Exchange Relations

We, Center for Research And Education for Deaf And Hard Of Hearing were pleased to welcome the Group of Urawa Daiichi High School’s teachers and students from Japan to visit and learn about CED on Wednesday, August 7th, 2018.

The group included 2 teachers, 1 tour guide and 12 students come along with 2 representatives of Habataku Organization: 3 students of Medical and Law from Viet Nam.

The content that they enjoyed with CED were: took part in the class with student of CED, interview CED students, after that they will represent their opinions, thoughts and others ideas of developing activity of CED; and the last was the support  services of CED performed by the director Ms Duong Phuong Hanh.

The deepest impression of this interaction was the questions from Japanese students and teachers.

  • How can CED build the hearing aids fund for the poor hard of hearing children? How can CED find out hearing aids?
  • How can the parents learn about CED? What will they have to do if they want to send their children study here? What about the expenses? How do CED support the students?
  • The quantity of students come CED on summer and when the school start? Is there enough staff in CED?
  • Is there any volunteer? Are there many volunteers in Viet Nam? Many young people? The reasons that Vietnamese want to be volunteers?
  • How much has Ms Hanh achieved with CED?

Within these questions and friendly expression of Japanese students for the children in CED: they wanted to attend the class, made some small groups to play and talk, exchanged some simple words of 2 country languages (hello, thank you,  you’re welcome, goodbye) the Japanese showed their interest in what CED could do: support children with hearing loss  to go to school,  treat them fairly even poor or rich, donate hearing aids for poor kids, CED students are happy and lovely, the faith that CED keep moving forward… but not the things like, CED is so tiny, few teachers or students without uniform… that many people can see from the first step they come in.

These are so meaningful, we hope that we still have other chance to see them again in near future. Many thanks to all Urawa Daiichi students and teacher for visit and give us an interesting experience with you.
