World Hearing Day 2022: To hear for life, listen with care!

World Hearing Day 2022 To further highlight the recommendations made in the World report on hearing, WHO will draw attention towards the importance and means of hearing loss prevention through safe listening, with the theme “To hear for life, listen with care!” 

The key messages for the day are: 

• It is possible to have good hearing across the life course through ear and hearing care
• Many common causes of hearing loss can be prevented, including hearing loss caused by exposure to
  loud sounds
• ‘Safe listening’ can mitigate the risk of hearing loss associated with recreational sound exposure

World Hearing Day 2021 and the World Hearing Report present WHO's call to governments, industry partners and global civil society to raise awareness and implement standards designed evidence-based framework to promote safe listening.
