ONLINE MEETING BETWEEN PARTICIPANTS OF THE SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION COURSE AND THE DEAF AT THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH
On September 12, 2021, participants of the “Sign Language Interpretation Course” of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had an online meeting with the Deafs at Khanh Hoi Evangelical Church (District 4) and Light Source Evangelical Church (Go Vap District).
Theme of the event was “Winning over Covid” and the participants brought to the meeting 4 performances:
- Group singing the song “Dear Saigon!” in sign language.
- Duet performing the song “March of the Sign Language Interpreters” in sign language.
- Game: Guess the word from the picture.
- Knowledge sharing: Topic “Health care after Covid-19 vaccination”.
The meeting took place in a happy and open atmosphere, in order to encourage the Deafs at the Evangelical Church to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and also creating opportunities for participants in the Sign Language Interpretation course to practice sign language and interpreting skills for supporting the Deafs in the future.
