PRESENTATION ON “VIETNAMESE SIGN LANGUAGE”

On 20 & 22 January 2026, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was invited to present the topic "Vietnamese Sign Language" in the subject of Audiology and Hearing Rehabilitation for 35 students of the Bachelor of Speech Therapy training program, Faculty of Rehabilitation, Da Nang and Hai Duong University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy.

The presentation included the following contents:

- Introduction to sign language in basic;

- Learning how to look up a sign;

- Learning the alphabet in Vietnamese Sign Language and practicing common communication.

- Learning and analyzing signs related to four themes: family, fruits, time, and animals.

- Doing practice communication using sentence patterns for expressing likes/dislikes, How many, What.

Sign language is one of three topics (Sign Language, Key Word Sign, Speechreading) that Ms Duong Phuong Hanh is invited to teach to students.

Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was honored to be invited to teach for the Speech Therapy training program of Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University from 2012 to 2015, HCMC University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Da Nang and Hai Duong University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy from 2020 to now. The program is sponsored by MCNV, TFA.
