SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION – LEARNING GROUP 5th MEETING

On November 15, 2021, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) organized the fifth meeting in the series of 6 follow-up meetings after the “Sign Language Interpreter Training” course, in order to continue supporting participants in knowledge exchange, skill practicing and experience sharing. At this meeting in November, there were 12 participants from the last training in June, who are teachers in special schools, parents and students from Nha Trang, Can Tho, Dong Nai, HCMC… and one student with hearing loss.

At the meeting, participants shared their practical experience of sign language interpretation at the workshop organized by CED last Sunday. Then, Mr. Luong Minh Dien presented his sign language video clip – introduction about Can Tho for the group to analyzed and practiced parallel interpreting sign language, facilitated by Ms Tran Phuong Nhung, an expert in sign language interpreting.

This is the activity in the framework of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
