THE WORKSHOP “RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES”
On February 4th, 2026, Ms. To Thi Bich Phuong, Vice Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), attended the workshop “Recommendations for Implementing the Rights of Children with Disabilities,” at the invitation of the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Protection Association.
CED proposed the following recommendations:
(1) Hearing aids and cochlear implants should be included in the list of goods covered by health insurance;
(2) Non-public educational institutions, such as CED, should be given opportunities to access educational policies of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education.
In addition, CED is a social organization that can organize sharing sessions with organizations, institutions, and businesses that need to learn about the people with hearing loss, and the handbook “Let Our Voice Resound” is a document that CED also wishes to share with everyone.
CED sincerely thanks the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Protection Association. Ho Chi Minh City has given representatives from CED the opportunity to participate and present their recommendations.
We hope that the recommendations presented at the workshop will be accepted by the Ho Chi Minh City government.
