On July 11, 2020, “Silent Moment 2020” – the bigest Exhibition for amateur painters in Ho Chi Minh city was officially launched.

Almost 100 paintings of amateur painters in Ho Chi Minh city were shown at the HCMC Exhibition House for art auction as fund raising for donating to Center for Education and Research of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED).

CED students also contributed some paintings for the Exhibition, especially one 1 m x 2m artwork titled “Dream and Hope” as a message of Faith in Life and the Integration that they wished for.

According to My Thuat Bui, “the RETURNING BACK Exhibition is the annual event for amateur painters aiming to bring up a professional art playground for people who love arts. With this year’s theme SILENT MOMENT, My Thuat Bui wishes to share “silent moments” needed in art experiences, from getting idea, painting, exhibiting, to contemplating on one’s and others’ paintings.”

At this opening ceremony, the art auction as fund raising for donating to the Center for Education and Research of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) in HCMC was concluded with the total amount of more than 26 million VND. On behalf of CED, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Nhi – Vice Director of CED gave thanks and good wishes to the Organizers.

The sign language performance of the song “Chalk Dust” by CED students created a “silent moment”, as a gift of gratitude to the painters at the opening ceremony.
