ART CLASS: WONDROUS WORLD – “COMBINE 2 INTO 1”

On August 18, 2026, students from the STEM class at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an exciting and creative art session themed “Combine 2 into 1.” This unique challenge encouraged students to break conventional rules and create "one-of-a-kind" masterpieces from their rich imaginations.

In an inspiring learning environment, the children went through several steps to create their novel entities:

  • Selecting Ideas: From 4 categories: 1. Animals, 2. Objects, 3. Food/Drinks, 4. Plants/Flowers, each student chose any 2 elements to combine.
  • Mind Sketching: The students began drawing their first lines, learning how to integrate the identifying characteristics of two different objects into a unified and harmonious shape.
  • Creative Coloring: Using crayons and watercolors, they brought their creations to life. The vibrant colors not only highlighted the combinations but also reflected each student's personality.

This session was more than just an art class; it was an exercise in logical thinking and observation for STEM students. By combining seemingly unrelated things, the children were encouraged to think outside the box and confidently express their unique perspectives on the world around them.
