BASKETBALL FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS

On November 8, 2021, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meeting on collaboration with BHIKs (Basketballs for Hearing Impaired Kids). Thereby, these following activities were planned in the beginning of next year, including:

- BHIKs would organize basketball sessions for CED students, helping them in playing basketball, improving health and connecting with more friends.

- BHIKs would develop communication plan for organizing talkshows, making communication video clips about people with hearing loss with sign language, in order to help community, especially Gen Z, to better understand people with hearing loss.

- CED would provide free sign language training for the volunteers - members of BHIKs.

It is such a good news for CED students! It is worth mentioning that the founder as well as members of BHIKs are still very young, just fresh students or high school students, but they are very talented. Especially, they are so kind-hearted for the friends with hearing loss. CED sincerely thanks BHIKs for these beautiful and meaningful ideas!
