ANNOUNCEMENT CEREMONY OF THE WRITING CONTEST “MY LIFE STORY”
The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) proudly presents the “Announcement Ceremony of the Writing Contest “My Life Story”– a place where authentic, heartfelt stories are honored and shared.
This event is not only an occasion to celebrate the inspiring examples of persons with disabilities who have strived and overcome challenges in life, but also an opportunity for connection and exchange among individuals with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened), their parents, teachers, and social workers. Together, we will reflect on the journey of those who “listen with their hearts” as they rise above invisible barriers – to learn, to understand, and to spread the human values of resilience.
Program Highlights:
- Announcement and recognition of the most outstanding entries in the contest.
- Live interaction with real-life characters – the people with hearing loss individuals sharing their own stories.
- Dialogue with parents, teachers, and experts about the journey of supporting individuals with hearing loss.
- The entire program will include sign language interpretation and caption, ensuring everyone can follow, listen, share, and fully experience these stories.
