On Mar, 2026, The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed six third-year Social Work students from Ho Chi Minh City Open University for their practicing social work at CED from March to May 2026.
At the meeting, the field supervisor oriented students about the role of a social worker at the center as follows:

i. Well listen and speak;
ii. Hardly listen and speak but have experience in life;
iii. Hardly listen and speak, still be a child or over ten-year-old children who are profound deaf and communicate by writing;
2. Find information about CED via its website and Facebook.
3. Follow three requirements when interning at CED:
i. Comply with CED’s working regulations;
ii. Learn how to listen;
iii. Learn how to share of tasks;
4. How to identify individual and group issues.
CED and the Faculty of Sociology - Social Work – Southeast Asian Studies, Ho Chi Minh City Open University signed a cooperation agreement to effectively guide students in a good combination of theory and practice.
