COMMUNITY SUPPORT: INFORMATION EXCHANGE REGARDING THE EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT PROJECT FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES
On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meeting with representatives of the project management team for "Connecting and Providing Support Services to Ensure the Rights of Children in Special Circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City," implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Protection of Children's Rights with funding from Save the Children International (SCI).
The meeting opened in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with both sides introducing an overview of their operational orientations and shared mission in community support services. During the meeting, the project representatives shared key information about the project, including its objectives, support methods, operational timeline, and other relevant details. The program focuses on equipping soft skills, providing career counseling, and developing personalized support pathways to help eligible youth with disabilities gradually integrate and find suitable employment.
The project representatives also expressed their hope for CED's support in connecting and referring suitable candidates so that the program can reach and assist them in a timely manner. Subsequently, both parties engaged in an open discussion on the current realities and practical solutions to remove barriers for youth with disabilities in today's society.
The session concluded on a positive and pleasant note. Both sides agreed to maintain communication and schedule a follow-up meeting to discuss cooperation plans in greater detail.
