EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY: CONFIDENT CONNECTIONS – ENGLISH EXCHANGE
On October 10, 2026, at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), students enthusiastically took part in an engaging and meaningful extracurricular exchange session with a foreign teacher: Ms. Sine Landers.
In a friendly, warm, and vibrant atmosphere, guided by the teacher, the students:
• Practiced expressing personal preferences through simple and familiar phrases: "I like..." and "I don't like...".
• Learned vivid and useful English vocabulary related to delicious foods and daily activities.
• Interacted actively and practiced expressing their thoughts naturally through gestures, sign language, and speech.
A special highlight of the session was the “Word Search Challenge”. The game enlivened the classroom as students eagerly competed to spot the newly learned keywords about food and daily routines. This activity not only reinforced vocabulary retention in a fun and natural way, but also fostered teamwork and brought out cheerful smiles all around.
The exchange session not only broadened the students' vocabulary but also served as a wonderful opportunity for CED students to hone their communication skills and build greater confidence in everyday life. Their glowing smiles, enthusiastic participation, and eagerness to learn continue to be an inspiring source of positive energy for our entire community.
