EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY: JOURNEY TO THE ROOTS – PROUD HISTORICAL IMPRINTS

"The country is full of joy," on April 10, 2026, the atmosphere at the Center for Education of the Deaf (CED) became more heroic and vibrant with red colors than ever before. Towards the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), a meaningful extracurricular session was organized by a group of final-year students majoring in Educational Psychology from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

The journey to connect history and national pride led the students through "stations" full of exciting experiences:

Stage 1: The Connection Circle

The program opened with a lively warm-up game using a small teddy bear. The quick chasing steps and joyful laughter when occupying an empty seat helped dissolve all distances. This activity not only trained reflexes but also created a bonding atmosphere, getting everyone ready for the historical discovery journey ahead.

Stage 2: Journey to the Roots

In this stage, the class was divided into two teams to move through stations in different directions to complete the map of the country:

• Team 1: Started at the Provincial Artisans station, then moved to Creative Crafts, and finished at the Unified Map.

• Team 2: Moved in the opposite direction from the Creative Crafts station to Provincial Artisans and finally the Unified Map.

Station Activities:

• Provincial Artisans: Students meticulously decorated provincial puzzle pieces by painting vivid colors on each piece. Each piece possessed its own color, showcasing the ingenuity and creativity of the "little artisans".

• Creative Crafts: With skillful hands, the students were guided to fold birds, fish, airplanes, or small paper boats. Each handmade product was carefully crafted, contributing to the decoration of the learning space.

• Unified Map: The puzzle pieces after decoration and the handmade products were hand-pasted by the students into the correct positions on a large map of Vietnam. The image of the country gradually becoming complete created a very vivid and meaningful effect.

Stage 3: Portrait of the Country

After the active hours, the students sat together to watch precious documentary footage of the Liberation Day on April 30, 1975 , as well as the transformation of the country today and the solemn atmosphere of the A50 military parade (April 30, 2025). These historical images helped the students better understand the nation's glorious milestone and sparked pride in each individual.

The extracurricular session concluded with a radiant group photo next to the map of Vietnam completed by the students' own hands. It is hoped that the echoes of the session will help the students love the S-shaped land more, cherish the value of peace, and constantly strive to build an increasingly beautiful country.

Let's look back at our proud moments through the images below!
