EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY: REVIEWING ENGLISH VOCABULARY THROUGH GAMES

On July 11, 2025, with the aim of helping students review vocabulary more effectively and enjoyably, the STEM class at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an exciting English vocabulary review session through interactive games.

The event featured two main activities:

Part 1: Vocabulary Challenge
The class was divided into two teams that competed by quickly translating Vietnamese words into English. The atmosphere was filled with healthy competition as students eagerly raised their hands to win points for their team.

Part 2: English Crossword Puzzle
Students were challenged with 10 Vietnamese words to be translated into English and correctly placed in the horizontal rows of a crossword puzzle. Interestingly, the initial letters of the correct answers formed a vertical keyword. The student who correctly guessed this secret word earned bonus points. This element added excitement and curiosity, with everyone racing to crack the hidden word.

At the end of both games, the total scores of each team were calculated, and the team with the highest combined score was declared the winner.

This engaging session not only helped students reinforce their vocabulary knowledge but also fostered a positive learning environment, promoted teamwork, and encouraged active participation through fun and interactive activities.
