TRAINING PROGRAM: THE COURSE 77 OF SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION WITH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS (SESSION 10)

On May 10, 2026, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of the Center for Research and Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) – conducted a training session on Skills in Communication with People with Hearing Loss for 30 participants, including 12 individuals working in the fields of Education, Healthcare, Social Work, Business, Media, and Arts, and 18 university and high school students.

Through this course, the participants worked together to:

  • Gain a profound understanding: Identify and analyze the factors affecting the communication process of deaf, hard-of-hearing, and late-deafened individuals, thereby proactively seeking solutions rather than remaining "bystanders."
  • Shift perspectives: Reshape common perceptions, eliminate misconceptions, and cultivate a welcoming attitude along with practical skills to ensure every conversation becomes effective and heartwarming.
  • Apply into practice: Effectively utilize the insights from the handbook "Let Voice of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Resound" into their daily work and lives.

The short-term training program on Skills in Communication with People with Hearing Loss also marked the success of CED. We sincerely appreciate the spirit of learning demonstrated by all the trainees! We firmly believe that with this knowledge and empathy, the trainees will drive positive changes, bridging the gap for people with hearing loss within their own professional and academic environments.

🤟 Communication is not just about hearing; we can absolutely connect through sincerity and an open heart!
