EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION: SPORTS DAY AT SAIGON SOUTH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

On April 25, 2026, students from the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an extracurricular activity Sports Day at Saigon South International School. This event was co-organized by CED and the Red Cross Club, Saigon South International School (SSIS).

For the second consecutive year, this "handshake" between CED and the SSIS Red Cross Club has created a heartwarming space for connection. What makes this bond truly special is that it was sparked by SSIS alumni - enthusiastic volunteers from the Otus project who have long been dedicated to CED. That foundation of mutual understanding and genuine affection has made this second annual gathering feel like a reunion among close friends.

Whether on the basketball, volleyball, and football courts or during intense badminton matches, students from both CED and SSIS created unforgettable moments together:

• Active Fun: Improving health through favorite sports.

• Limitless Connection: Body language and radiant smiles took the place of words, melting away barriers and sparking new friendships.

• Memorable Experiences: Enjoying play in a modern, professional multi-purpose sports complex.

Beyond the high-energy moments on the field, the SSIS Red Cross Club members showed great thoughtfulness by preparing a colorful and refreshing "rest stop." This was a place where students could take a breather, rehydrate, and find a moment of calm after intense physical activity through statue painting and sand art.

The Board of Directors, teachers, and staff of CED wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Red Cross Club, teachers, and staff of Saigon South International School. Thank you for providing not only a rewarding experience but also for sharing warmth and peace with our students. We hope this partnership continues to flourish as we write more beautiful stories of sharing and inclusion together.

See you all at the next exciting exchange!
