EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION: THE STOP OF LOVE – A JOURNEY TO HAPPINESS

On Friday, April 17, 2026, the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens was filled with more than just birdsong and lush greenery — it echoed with the joyful laughter of students from CED.

On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Vietnamese People with Disabilities Day (April 18, 1998 – April 18, 2026), six third-year Social Work interns from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, in collaboration with CED teachers, organized a meaningful and emotional field trip for CED students. For them, every journey is a practical lesson, and every animal or plant represents a fascinating world waiting to be explored.

Through the trip, CED students had opportunities to:

- Practice self-care skills in an outdoor environment.

- Improve their ability to recognize locations and stay connected with their group members in crowded places.

- Develop teamwork skills and support one another throughout the journey.

- Explore nature and broaden their understanding of the surrounding world.

- More importantly, the trip helped students build confidence in participating in community-based activities and gradually enhance their social integration in a positive way.

This trip was more than just a day of fun; it was a powerful testament to a spirit without limits — where hearing barriers gave way to heartfelt connections through smiles, eye contact, and shared experiences. The success of this event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, whose meaningful contributions helped make the journey smoother and more joyful than ever.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our sponsors and the Board of Directors of the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens for providing favorable admission support for the students. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Social Work interns from Ho Chi Minh City Open University for their dedication in organizing this meaningful activity and creating a truly memorable day for CED students.
