TRANSPARENT MASK and “THE JOURNEY OF CONNECTION – SHARING LOVE”

The Covid pandemic broke out, wearing mask is one of the safe measure for health but it is a barrier for people with hearing loss for speechreading in communication.

How to design a mask that is safe for epidemic prevention as well as comfortable for people with hearing loss in speechreading?

From the above concerns, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) has the idea of transparent mask.

The transparent masks have been given to public and private hospitals, special schools, medical staff, social organizations, community of people with hearing loss, parents and students all over Vietnam.

Up to December 18, 2021, CED has given: 800 transparent masks and in the coming time, CED is continuing the program of giving 200 transparent masks to community.

In addition to giving transparent mask, CED also provides transparent masks as the price of 40.000 VND/mask.

We would like to give sincere thanks to Center for Supporting Community Development (LIN) for sponsoring and accompanying CED in helping people with hearing loss in their social inclusion.
