Course title: "Sign language" basic level
Expectations: After the course, students would have
- Knowledge about:
(1) History of sign language (NNKH) in Vietnam
(2) Basic issues related to sign language and techniques
(3) Knowing and signing at least 200 signs
(4) Knowing and signing paragraphs of at least three sentences
(5) Knowing how to sign at least one poem and one song
(6) Lip-reading skills.
- Skills in:
- Sign analysis
- Signing
- Lip-reading.
- Attitude: Understanding and respecting when communicating with the Deaf.
Content:
- Concept of sign language and issues related to sign language
- Basic characteristics of sign language
- 10 lessons with topics related to life and practice sessions after each lesson
- Concept of lip-reading, influencing factors, and practice sessions.
Time: 8am– 10am, 10 Sunday mornings from 15/05/2022 – 17/07/2022
Place: Platform: Online studying on Zoom (Zoom link will be sent to registered participants)
Audience: For those who love sign language and would like to learn communication skills with the Deaf
