COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: CONSULTING STUDENTS ON GRADUATION PROJECT IN TECHNOLOGY

On June 2, 2026, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a working session and provided intensive feedback on hearing loss to final-year Computer Science students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry for their graduation project.

Oriented towards applying Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) into assistive communication technology for hearing-impaired people, the sharing session served as a bridge connecting young tech mindsets with sustainable community values.

Key discussion points and practical implementation:

- The student group presented the development orientation of their assistive communication technology solution aiming to optimize social interactions for the hearing-impaired community.

- With practical experience, the Director of CED shared deep insights from previous research, helping students clearly identify both the strengths and challenges of their project.

Through this session, CED continues to affirm its role as a launchpad for innovative ideas, helping students create practical social impacts, moving towards the goal: "To let the deaf be heard".
