COMMUNITY SUPPORT: WELCOMING PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS FOR INTERNSHIP AT CED
On October 2nd, 2026, A representative from the Board of Directors and A Psychology Expert of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed two Psychology students from Van Hien University to CED for their internship.
The meeting aimed to outline the content and direction for the students' graduation internship.
First, the CED representative provided an overview of CED and its regulations that students must follow.
Second, CED's Psychology expert helped the students create a "picture" of their internship orientation as Psychology students. She also emphasized the need for students to observe psychological changes through behavior, emotions, and communication in the daily activities of individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing. From there, students relate the theories they have learned to human psychology in general and the psychology of children with special circumstances in particular.
Thirdly, students are invited to introduce themselves, present their goals and aspirations when coming to intern at the CED.
The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) has been collaborating with Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ton Duc Thang University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Van Hien University, and other universities to accept students for practical training in social work, psychology, and psychoeducation with people with hearing loss in particular, and internships in the field of hearing loss in general. The primary purpose of guiding student interns is to fulfill the mission of "acting as a bridge connecting the Deaf/Hard of Hearing with the Hearing community," ensuring that "Deaf/Hard of Hearing’s Voice are heard.”
