EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY: A TOUCH OF NATURE – “LEAF & FLOWER PRINTING”
On August 14, 2026, elementary students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an exciting art workshop titled “Leaf & Flower Printing.” This was a friendly exchange activity with volunteers from the SOL Sign Language Club (Ho Chi Minh City Open University).
In an atmosphere filled with natural colors, the children enjoyed the following steps:
• Getting to know nature: Students observed different flowers and leaves, learned their names by watching the instructors' lip movements, and picked their favorite ones.
• Creating layouts: On white canvas bags, the children arranged the plants to create their own unique designs.
• Printing on fabric: The children used spoons to gently and evenly tap the flowers and leaves, letting the natural pigments soak into the fabric.
• Decorating and Completion: After removing the leaves, the students used colored markers to draw extra details and decorate their work.
This activity helped the children connect with nature while practicing their fine motor skills and creativity. The personalized canvas bags are meaningful gifts that boost the children's confidence and love for art.
