EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY: PROTECTING ORAL HEALTH

On October 2, 2026, primary class students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) took part in an extracurricular activity with the theme “Protecting Oral Health.”

The program was designed to help students understand the importance of taking care of their teeth and gums while developing healthy oral hygiene habits in their daily lives. Through familiar, visual, and age-appropriate content, the students learned simple and practical ways to care for their oral health.

During the session, the students watched nursery rhyme music videos as well as videos about safety and life skills. In particular, they learned how to brush their teeth properly, from preparing their toothbrush and toothpaste to following the basic steps of brushing and maintaining good oral hygiene. Through these activities, the students learned that brushing their teeth regularly and properly is an important habit for keeping their teeth clean and healthy.

The students were also encouraged to maintain good oral hygiene every day, develop self-care awareness, and take an active role in protecting their own health. These simple yet practical lessons can help them gradually build healthy habits and maintain strong and healthy teeth.

Through the extracurricular activity, the students not only gained useful knowledge about oral health but also practiced their attention, observation, and memory skills. We hope that these small habits will become part of their daily routines and help them take good care of their smiles every day.
