LEARNING ENGLISH: COLOR-CODING CHART FOR NOUNS (SINGULAR AND PLURAL)

On July 27, 2026, at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), students in the STEM class gathered for an English lesson on "Singular and Plural Nouns." This activity is part of the project "Deaf Students Learning English through a Color-Coding Chart Combined with Vietnamese Teaching Methods," jointly implemented by CED and a group of fourth-year students (English Education, Saigon University).

The lesson covered:

• An introduction to the color-coding chart (designed by the student team).

• Key concepts regarding singular and plural nouns, including common irregular plural nouns.

• Part-of-speech recognition, card-sorting activities, and group exercises based on the color-coding chart—an engaging activity that created a lively learning atmosphere among the students.

By the end of the session, students began to familiarize themselves with the rules and relied less on the color-coding chart to distinguish between singular and plural nouns. This progress fulfills one of the primary goals set by the project team.

"Everything is possible", with the right teaching methods, learning English is no longer a challenge, but a joyful journey of discovery for the students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED).
