The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED)

 

On April 6th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) got support from Mr. Duong Chi Vien, Mr and Mrs Do Nhat Anh – Duong Mai Anh, Mrs Duong Bao Anh amount of 42 million VNĐ to contribute in daily costs for CED teachers (2 million/person) and students who live in the difficult conditions (1 million/person) in the midst of corona pandemic in March and April, 2020.

 

On April 8th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in the survey “Feedback from employers about employees who graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Open University” held by Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

 

On April 10th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) has been presented to the Certificate of Appreciation for participation in the World Hearing Day 2020 Small Grants Scheme – March 3rd 2020.

 

 

On April 11th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in the survey “The Impact of Covid-19 on Social Enterprises and Their Demands of Support” organized by Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Nation Economics University (CSIE).

 

On April 16th, 2020, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Nhi – Vice Director of CED attended the 2019 – 2020 Board Meeting of Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD) and the webinar with topic “Learned experience on support of people with disabilities in Vietnam – View from sides”

 

 

On April 18th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was suggested by the International Federation of Hard of Hearing People (IFHOH) to report the impact of COVID-19 on people with hearing loss in Vietnam.

 

On April 19th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) reported to Zennancho (National Association of Hard of Hearing People), Japan the impact of covid-19 on hard of hearing people in Vietnam.

 

On April 23rd, 2020, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED was interviewed by the Vietnam Women’s Union for opinions from social enterprises/social impact units to provide bases, views on advising and proposing policies at forums of the National Assemble and the Vietnamese Government. The interview revolved around the need, role and mission as well as the upcoming development trend of the CED particular, social enterprises / social impact units in general.

 

On April 24th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) has collected information about the need for counselling/sharing the difficulties in life form people with hearing loss. CED will choose to post some questions of the most asking and share with people with hearing loss, parents and teachers.

On April 29th, 2020, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) re-started its program of Hearing Aid Fund in May 2020 in an effort to maintain the plan to donate at least 100 hearing aids in 2020.

 

On April 23rd, 2020, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED instructed the American Student – Patrick Dover, Loyola University of Chicago to successfully research “The factors affecting the education of deaf and hard of hearing students in Vietnam.
