On February 13th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED had a meeting with person in charge of The Rehabilitation and Education Center for Children with Disability in Khanh Hoa about hearing aids donation for poor students with hearing loss in Khanh Hoa.
On February 16th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED had a discussion with National Technical Institute For The Deaf about the Training Program of Sign Language Interpreters in near future. It’s going to open in June 2020.
On February 18th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a meeting with the representative of Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital to learn about the course “The skill of support people with hearing loss in hospital”.
On February 20th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had got pleasure to welcome three representatives of Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City (CGJHCM) in “Handover event of Audiometer to CED”. The Audiometer Project is of ODA program funded by CGJHCMC. In 2017, CED received the donation from CGJHCMC to buy this audiometer and made free hearing test for 255 people (Hearing and Hard of hearing) and CED officially held handover on that day.
On February 18th – 22nd 2019, for promoting and spreading for World Hearing Day (WHD), The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) continuously posted subjects of taking care ears, hearing, comprehension on social network and online surveys. This survey has been reported to WHD 2019 about awareness of hearing loss, caring ears and hearing; and shared to World Health Organization (WHO).
On February 19th 2019, under the support of TechSoup Asia-Pacific team, the website and hosting of The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) has been converted Microsoft Office 365 Program sponsored by Microsoft Azure Sponsorship Subscription.
On February 21st 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED was invited to discuss about the outline of Sign Language Module with the lecture in charge of Social Sciences and Humanities Department, Ton Duc Thang University for the plan of opening a Social Worker Class in June 2019.
On February 21st 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED had got an online interview invitation from Asian Women Social Entrepreneurs Network (AWSEN) to share about the difficulties of a new and young Social Enterprise and its necessity.
On February 24th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED visited Caritas Sai Gon office and gave consultancy to parents and teachers who teach the children with learning and hearing disabilities there.
On February 25th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – Director of CED and the representative of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Blind School had a talk to organize a Hearing Care Program - Hearing Test for students with visual disabilities. It have been on the plan and going to held early March 2019.
On February 27th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed 2 representatives of The Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss about subjects of hearing aids donation, hearing test and co-operation opportunities in near future.
On February 28th 2019, The Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a deal of interpretation service of American Sign Language for a deaf American chef who wanted to learn Vietnamese cooking. The service was American Sign Language - Vietnamese Sign Language - Vietnamese spoken language.
CED’s Hearing Aid Fund: donated 3 new hearing aids to total 3 children with hearing loss and disadvantaged condition in Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Thap.

- Le Phuong Thuy (Ho Chi Minh City): 1 hearing aid.
- Nguyen Ha My (Dong Thap): 1 hearing aid

Consultancy/Peer counseling:
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 79 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field: education, job, hearing aids, giving advice for parents of children with hearing loss, sign language, lip reading, etc…
