On Oct 2rd 2018 The Center For Research And Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed the representative of Hoa Sen University to discuss about Service Learning Program to make an opportunity exchange for 2 sides.
On Oct 6th, 20th, 27th 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED’s Director was invited to teach “Education Method for Children with Hearing Loss” for 45 students of In-Service Program, Special Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.
On Oct 8th 2018, CED Center received a new pupil, her name’s Nguyen Nguyet Linh with 5 years old who attended in pre-school.
On 11 &12 Oct 2018, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED’s Director had a training of “ Education for Children with Hearing Loss: Lip-reading Skill” for 35 teachers and 15 parents for The Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education of Children with Disabilities of Dak Lak and 2 teachers of The Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education of Dak Nong. The training was organized in Dak Lak Center.
At the same time, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh, the representative of CED Center collaborated with Quang Duc Hearing Services Company to take hearing tests for 123 students with hearing loss who study at The Support and Development Center for Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities in Dak Lak and Dak Nong. The testing was done at the Dak Lak Center and the group of Dak Nong came here to do together.
On Oct 13th 2018 The Center For Research and Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) and Ho Chi Minh City Deaf Club joined in the program “Peace Culture Day” on October 13th held by Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation and The Ho Chi Minh City’s Peace Committee in response to UNESCO’s program “For A Non-Violent Society”. Enjoyed in the program, Ho Chi Minh City Deaf Club which managed by the President, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh had dance performance with sign language, the song named “Khat Vong” (Desire).
On October 18th 2018, Department of Sociology-Social Work-Southeast Asia under Open University of Ho Chi Minh City invited Ms Duong Phuong Hanh to report about “Social Security Administration: Challenge and Solution” for 47 students studying in Social Work Class in Social Work Department.
On Oct 24th & 25th 2018, CED Center greeted representatives coming from 3 companies in Hearing Aid field: Unico Alliance and their partner Easy Hear, Hong Kong; Daewon Group; and Viet Nam Sonovas Company to visit, learn about and co-operate with CED.
On Oct 25th 2018, CED Center welcomed representative of the University of Economics and Finance to discuss about Service Learning Program to make an opportunity exchange for 2 sides.
CED’s Hearing Aid Fund: donated 2 new hearing aids and 2 used hearing aids to 3 children with hearing loss and disadvantaged condition in Ben Tre Province and 1 child in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

- Ngo Thi Ngan Thao, An Binh Hamlet, Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province, 1 used hearing aid.
- Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, An Thuy Hamlet, Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province, 1 used hearing aid.
- Phan Thi Bao An, Nha Trang City, 1 new hearing aid.

Consultancy/Peer counseling:
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) conducted 64 cases for consultancy / peer counseling in relation with hearing loss field: education, job, hearing aids, giving advice for parents of children with hearing loss, sign language, lip reading, etc…
