SEMINAR “SHARING IDEAS AND EXPERIENCES IN IMPLEMENTATION AND PRACTICE SOCIAL WORK IN THE CONTEXT OF BEING AFFECTED BY COVID 19 PANDEMIC”

 

On August 28, 2021, Ms. To Thi Bich Phuong - Vice Director of CED, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc and Ms. Trieu thuy Mi represented for CED attended the seminar “Sharing ideas and experiences in implementation and practice social work in the context of being affected by Covid 19 pandemic”.

 

The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with HCMC Advisory Board for Social Work Development - HCMC Vocational Education Association, HCMC Professional Social Work Club - HCMC Association of Psychological Science-Education and Faculty of Social Work - HCMC College of Economics organized.

 

The seminar took place with the participation of 06 speakers and more than 150 participants who were lecturers from universities; officers and employees of training institutions and institutions that receive students to practice social work in Vietnam and abroad.

 

Topics shared in the seminar included:

 

- Difficulties and challenges when implementing and practicing social work,

- Experience in implementing and practicing social work under the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic,

- Experience in receiving, training, and evaluating students' internship and social work practice results,

- Initiatives to implement and practice social work in the context of the current and future effects of the Covid epidemic were proposed by the speakers and participants such as: technology application, selection of facilities. contextual practice, etc.

 

The initiatives and experiences shared in the seminar are useful information to help CED as well as institutions that receive interns and students to practice social work. It can be used to guide and support social work students to practice in the context of current Covid pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City.
