ACTIVITY REPORT - APRIL 2022
Part 1: CED activities
- On April 2, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) opened the class “Lipreading Skills in works”.
- On April 4, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) announced about opening of the new class on Basic Sign Language in HCMC, class 68.

- On April 6, 2022, with the connection by Ms. Ha Thanh Van, Director of the Center for Supporting Development and Inclusive Education, Tan Binh district, CED students received 40 Christmas 2021 gifts from children joining the charity project Box of Hope in Hongkong.
- On April 12, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing connected the sign language interpreter to support one teacher of the primary school Cam Duong in Lao Cai, in order to make the video with sign language subtitles for submitting to the Contest Introduction online books 2022, with the theme “Books and Devotion Inspiration”, which was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
- On April 14, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed Ms. Hoang Linh Linh, community service officer of the Center for Supporting Community Development (LIN) together with volunteers, visiting CED.
- On April 15, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) joined the online meeting “Connecting network of organizations implementing initiatives of JIFF, with the theme of people with disability in social inclusion”, organized by the Vietnam Judicial Support Association for the Poor (VIJUSAP) and JIFF’s Secretary Board
- On April 18, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) joined the musical program "From Heart to Heart" on the occasion of the Vietnam Day of Care and Protection of People with Disabilities 18/04 at the Youth Cultural House.
- On April 20, 2022, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) connected and supported 02 Deaf persons to work with lawyers and sign language interpreters in legal aid. The Deaf denounced the fraud of buying phones on the social network Facebook.
- On April 28, 2022, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh, Director of , Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) met with Ms. Phan Thi Thanh, vice head of the professional division 2 – Center of Legal Aid of the State about legal support and communication for people with hearing loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late deafened).

Part 2: CED’s Hearing Aid Fund Report
In April 2022, CED’s Hearing Aid Fund granted 60 hearing aids for 50 children with hearing loss, as following:
- Trần Đỗ Bảo Hân, 10 years old, Quảng Trị (02 hearing aids)
- Hà Ngọc Ánh My, 11 years old, Đà Nẵng (01 hearing aids)
- Huỳnh Thiên Phúc, 11 years old, Đà Nẵng (01 hearing aids)
- Nguyễn Thị Diễm Quỳnh, 19 years old, Khánh Hòa (01 hearing aids)
- Nguyễn Thành Được, 24 years old, Hóc Môn (02 hearing aids)
- Center for Supporting Inclusive Education Development in Ninh Thuan province, 02 students (03 hearing aids)
- School for Students with Hearing Loss Tân Lập, Long Thuận, 22 students ( 21 hearing aids)
- School of Love Vũ Đăng Khoa, 11 students ( 18 hearing aids)
- School of Students with Hearing Loss Ánh Dương, 10 students (11 hearing aids)

We would kindly ask family whose children get approved for granting hearing aids to contribute 100.000 VND/hearing aid to the Hearing Aid Fund for children with hearing loss in poor families.

Part 3: Peer Consultation/Counseling
In April, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) conducted 122 consultation/counseling cases on education, sign language, and signlange interpreting; consulting on laws and legal aids for people with hearing loss; consulting on education method for children with hearing loss; collaborating with schools/organizations in granting hearing aids, consulting for parents having difficulties in teaching children with hearing loss, and other connecting, collaborating activties with organizations in implementation of projects for supporting community of people with hearing loss.
